E82 M Sport
The first generation of the BMW 1 Series, developed alongside the E9X generation, replaced the 3 Series compact as the entry level model. Powered by the N52B30, the 128i produced 228hp and had an option of a 6-speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission. The rear-wheel drive layout benefits from a 50-50 weight distribution, and features an aluminum multi-link suspension.
