E30 M3 Sport Evolution
The Sport Evolution, also known as Evolution III, is an extensively modified version of the E30 M3, limited to just 600 units for the European market. Engine modifications included a displacement increase in the S14 4-cylinder from 2.3L to 2.5L, larger valves, and oil sprayers in the block that lubricate the pistons. Other changes included thinner glass, lighter trunk lid and bumpers, smaller fuel tank, wider front fenders, and sealed body gaps. The fog lights found on the standard M3 were replaced with brake cooling ducts. An adjustable multi-position front splitter is also present in the EVO III, as well as a rear wing. Two exclusive color options offered on the EVO III were Brilliant Red with black pinstripes and Jet Black with red pinstripes.
