British Racing Green E36 M3 GT
Limited to just 356 cars, this homologation-special E36 M3 is one of the rarest M cars ever made. Available to the European market only, the E36 M3 GT featured an upgraded S50B30 engine, an adjustable front splitter, a higher rear double wing, aluminum doors, and M double-spoke aluminum forged wheels. The E36 M3 GT came in one single combination, British Racing Green with Mexico Green Nappa Leather upholstered on the Ameretta sport seats. The interior of the E36 M3 also had extensive use of carbon trim, like that found in the USDM E36 M3 LTW. Technical highlights of the engine upgrades included a higher compression ratio and larger camshafts, controlled by the newly developed control system called VANOS. These innovations resulted in a peak power output of 295hp at 7,100 rpm, an excellent power density for the 1990s.
